Dr Booth has more than 15 years experience working in neuropsychology and neurorehabilitation services in the North West, including the NHS and independent sectors. She has expertise in providing specialist neuropsychological assessment, formulation and therapeutic support for individuals affected by a wide range of diagnoses, including TBI/ABI (traumatic/acquired brain injury), dementia and other long-term neurological conditions. Dr Booth's experience spans the rehabilitation journey, from acute inpatient care through to community settings, working with individuals, families/carers, and care teams to provide neuropsychological support and rehabilitation.

Dr Booth demonstrates expertise in the administration and interpretation of neuropsychological assessment to contribute to the differential diagnoses of dementia conditions and other organic and non-organic aetiologies for cognitive impairment. Moreover, she has expertise in the assessment of PTSD, Mental Capacity, and Fitness to Work.

Dr Booth has expertise in providing specialist therapeutic support to help manage emotional distress which may be associated with neurological and physical health conditions, as well as formulating tailored neuropsychological and cognitive rehabilitation interventions. She uses an integrative and holistic approach and draws on models of neurorehabilitation, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Compassion Focussed Therapy (CFT) to inform her work.

Dr. Mary Delaney

Dr. Mary Delaney

Dr Delaney is a Clinical Neuropsychologist with 15 years’ experience of working within the NHS and private health sector. She has experience of assessment and rehabilitation with a wide range of neurological presentations, including TBI, ABI, Stroke, and degenerative conditions such as Parkinson’s disease, MS, and MND. This includes working across the neurorehabilitation pathway from inpatient stroke care to multidisciplinary community- neurorehabilitation services.

In 2016, Dr Delaney completed the British Psychological Society's Qualification in Clinical Neuropsychology, obtaining further knowledge and experience of working with a range of neurological presentations. She is on the Specialist Register of Clinical Neuropsychologists. She offers individual assessment and intervention to adults, carers and families. She offers therapeutic interventions for neurorehabilitation, adjustment to neurological deficits and managing behaviours others find challenging. She is passionate about integrative working across a multidisciplinary team.

Dr Delaney has training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and adopts an integrative and holistic approach to intervention, drawing on models of neurorehabilitation, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Compassion Focussed Therapy (CFT) to inform her work. She is also experienced in working with staff teams to offer training and consultation.

Dr Arran is a Clinical Psychologist specialising in Neuropsychology with over 14 years’ experience working in community, inpatient and outpatient settings, as well as working in the private sector. She has worked in Health Psychology and Neuropsychology, largely specialising in Neurological Rehabilitation, Stroke Rehabilitation and Brain Injury Rehabilitation. Dr Arran uses an integrative, evidence-based approach and works with individuals to enhance their quality of life and work towards meaningful goals. She is passionate about working with staff and family teams in an optimal way to support individuals with their rehabilitation journey. She has extensive experience of providing neuropsychological assessment, formulation and intervention with individuals from diverse backgrounds with a wide range of needs. Additionally, Dr Arran has worked with many people with severe and complex difficulties and physical difficulties that factor into psychological presentations such as low mood, anxiety and adjustment issues.

Dr Arran has experience of providing supervision, consultation and joint working with other disciplines including Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy, Physiotherapy, Psychiatry, Medical Professionals and Nursing Staff. She is able to work both autonomously and jointly, providing specialist psychological therapy for emotional difficulties relating to neurological and physical health problems. She has also provided training both locally and nationally in the areas of Stroke and Neurorehabilitation.

Dr McDonald is a Clinical Psychologist, specialising in Neuropsychology. Over the last 14 years, she has worked within a number of specialisms within the NHS, charity and private sectors, including: Adult Mental Health, Stroke, Acquired Brain Injury, Cancer and Persistent Pain. The focus of Dr McDonald’s work has predominantly involved working with individuals presenting with complex physical and neuropsychological health difficulties, offering in depth assessment, formulation and intervention to support individuals, family members and professionals.

Dr McDonald adopts a holistic and integrative approach to help individuals manage the cognitive and/or psychological impact of adverse life events in a tailored manner. Specifically, she has completed a post graduate diploma in Clinical Neuropsychology and also training in EMDR for the treatment of trauma and PTSD, alongside further training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Compassion Focused Therapy.

Dr McDonald has extensive experience of working within multidisciplinary teams, and values the opportunity to work closely with other disciplines. She can offer indirect support, consultation and training tailored to the specific needs of the team or professional.
